This story started with Kevin Mills and a single rehab property.
In the early 1980s, Kevin went into the business of buying and renovating fixer-uppers. Through this process, Kevin knew real estate was his passion and he would find that it would become his career. Kevin loved bringing history back to life but after buying, restoring and selling a number of properties, he also realized there was something very special about designing and building homes from the ground up.
During his early years, Kevin talked to hundreds of people about real estate. Investing, building, developing, what they loved. What they disliked. How the process made them feel. After a while, a few things became crystal clear to him.
First, every project needs to start with a great design. Second, what people really wanted was honesty, ethics, communications, professionalism, expertise and experience. When it comes to building projects, other builders are full of excuses, reasons why this or that couldn’t be done. Clients and potential clients were telling Kevin that they wanted a builder who would listen and help them create their dream home.
Kevin discovered that the true vision for any home builder was in designing and building fully custom homes the way people wanted them. Not close to what they wanted, not good enough—exactly what they wanted, at the price and at level of quality that no other builder was delivering. He also learned that this is much easier said than done, which is why so few builders have made an attempt to do it.
It was this insight and personal passion that drove Kevin, his family and his partners to make a commitment to building a legacy of quality and affordability, one beautiful home, one family at a time. They have dedicated themselves to building every home as though they were building it for their own family. And they’ve never looked back.
